A contract covering all air conditioning, heating and ventilation assets
This college based in hampshire has a range of facilities to support technical and professional courses including workshops, classrooms, laboratories, a restaurant, salon and gym, The college decided to go out for tender for a number of reasons. Due to investments in the college, the existing contract wasn’t covering all assets. The college wanted a company that could take on the new air conditioning assets as well as their heating and ventilation equipment which were previously served under separate contracts.
A 5-year maintenance contract
With our experience and qualifications looking after ventilation, air conditioning and heating for a number of higher education organisations we were confident that we could provide excellent service and meet the demands of a college environment.
The contract is for 5 years and includes planned preventative maintenance done in accordance with SFG20 plus breakdown cover. Our engineer is required to attend site once a week and attend to any faults reported in the on-site log book, When these are completed our engineer can carry on with PPM works which are also completed during college holidays.
Online customer portal
During the tender process we spoke to the college about our CRM system which has a customer portal facility which would afford the following benefits to the college:
Load jobs electronically
Review job sheets and see their status
Immediate access to electronically written engineers reports
The college liked the idea of having all their information in one area which they could easily access through an online portal and not have to wait for the office to email through engineers reports. Therefore as soon as the college signed up for our maintenance contract we offered specially designed training to help the college get up and running straight away using the portal.
Summary
By contracting EMS Ltd to maintain their assets, the college was able to have all their temperature control needs in one contract with one point of contact. The college also benefited from an electronic system giving them instant access to key information.
